Aletha Aletha came to One On One Fitness in May of 2003 after finding out there was an opening for a trainer from an acquaintance.
 
“I had a bit of uncertainty in applying, as I had traveled to Alberta to stay for 4 months and then the plan was to return to Nova Scotia to go back to school, or find a new job. Applying for this position meant making a commitment to stay in Alberta.”
 
 
It is now 2009 and Aletha is still at One On One Fitness. “I have accomplished so much since starting work here! I enjoy challenging clients and helping them realize what they are capable of when they are committed to reaching their goals.”
 
“I hold my parents responsible for what I have accomplished. With 4 children they were devoted to teaching us responsibility, perseverance, and the value of hard work. They provided us with structure, but also took the time to have some fun with us.”

In junior high and high school Aletha had the opportunity to play on multiple competitive sports teams. Participating on those teams allowed her to have a complete school experience, helping her become a leader and learn to work with others in a team environment. She graduated from high school as Female Athlete of the Year.

She also earned the title of Female Athlete of the Year, along with her Recreation Leadership Diploma, at the Nova Scotia Community College Truro Campus for her contribution to the women’s basketball team, helping them earn the right to be provincial champions that year.

Since leaving college Aletha has worked at a private boarding school for children with learning disabilities and behavioral issues, and in a fitness club setting. Through the fitness club she was introduced to Canadian Fitness Professionals, the association she completed her certification as a Personal Trainer Specialist with.

“I enjoyed working with the children at the private school, but really was passionate about the sport and fitness side of recreation and learning how the body can perform and respond to training when paired with proper nutrition and recovery.”

Aletha considers One On One Fitness and her own training the most beneficial learning experiences, “The other trainers, the clients and Doug Bueckert and Sandra Bueckert have inspired and helped guide me in becoming a better trainer. I look forward to learning more and helping clients achieve their athletic, fitness and active lifestyle goals.”
