Your home can be set up to help you stay trim or it can
(sub-consciously) be set up to make it easier to pack on the pounds. Over the next few tips, we’ll look around the house and offer some suggestions on, “slimming” it down. I’ll confess right now, that if I walk into my kitchen and cookies or chocolate is hanging around, one of us has to go:) You guess. Out of sight is out of mind for me. How about you?
Let’s start with the kitchen :
No TV or Computer in the Kitchen/You enter home through a NON Kitchen door/No comfy- Lounge-able chairs /Counters are organized, clear of clutter Toaster is NOT visible/ Blender is visible
NO breakfast cereal boxes are visible/No baked goods are visible/
A fruit bowl IS visible and contains 2 or more fruit / Fruit bowl is easily accessible/ No cookies, crackers/ chips or candy is visible/No nuts, bread, or cereal is on the counter.
Yesterday’s tip was about making the kitchen waist friendly. Today let’s look into making your refrigerator work for you.
Keep salad & vegetable leftovers in clear containers/Pre-cut fruit & vegetables are on the center shelf/ Non-vegetable leftovers are in opaque containers/ Less healthy leftovers and dessert are in the produce drawers / No large bottle of any drink other than milk or water / No more than 1 can of single serve fruit juice or pop
